MUTH 1030 History of American Musical Theatre (3)

This course studies American musical theatre, from its origins in nineteenth-century America through the twenty-first century. We survey books, lyrics, scores, choreography and design to highlight how individual composers and their styles have contributed to the form. We focus also on the changing cultural context framing musical theatre production.听GCP Coding: (ROC) (WCOM).

MUTH 2410 Musical Theatre Dance Styles I (2)

This course introduces students to the various genres and styles of Musical Theatre Dance. It may be repeated once for credit. Prerequisite: Two semesters of Jazz I, its equivalent or permission of the instructor.听

MUTH 2420 Musical Theatre Dance Styles I (2)

This is a continuation of MUTH 2410. It may be repeated once for credit. Prerequisite: Two semesters of Jazz I, its equivalent or permission of the instructor.
